The Zer-Os got Sammy because their jerk owner, Peter Angelos wanted him. Sammy will probably get suspended for steroids or something before the year is half over.
Y'know, it's funny. I looked at the Badfinger pic real quickly, and then did a double take. Am I crazy, or in this pic, doesn't Joey Molland (2nd from left) look like Paul McCartney? And Tom Evans (2nd from right) has a smile that's definitely reminiscent of George Harrison. Maybe yet another reason why they always felt they were in the Beatles' shadow.

I really don't know anything about baseball beyond a few players but I'll echo Lora's question - why is Sosa hated?

The George thing is kinda iffy, but yes, Joey looks a lot like Macca. It's even been pointed out in specials on Badfinger, including their Behind the Music. |
