Hello fellow music fanatics,
One of my close friends recommended this website, and I plan to comment on different topics. I have been following music since my first close and play. Some can remember this as their first record player. I believe I went through three of them. My Uncle Tom used to give me 45's from his jukebox from his pizza parlor. Another uncle gave me a stack of 1960's 45's. This was gold to a seven-year-old. It contained records from the Beach Boys, Beatles and Rolling Stones to name a few.

Hi Dave,
I honestly don't know for sure, but I know I wasn't seven (I was religiously playing my WRKO double album then). Who actually remembers being three? I don't. So I'll say five.

I don't honestly remember ever having "my own" record player until I moved away from home. Ijust always used the family 3-speed changer.

I never really had my own record player. I do remember my brothers had a portable that we used to bring to the cottage. It played 45s and albums, but we usually just played 45s on it.
I would have been maybe nine or ten years old at the time. My older brother then bought a stereo with record player and 8 track player when I was about 14.
