Empty Nesters ---- Again!!

Well friends, the boomerang days are just now officially over!

Nancy and I became empty nesters for the first time in the fall of 1996 when our son Andrew went off to college. After four years at JMU and three years in grad school at U of Florida, Andrew returned in 2003 to attend Law School at George Washington University - and moved back home - hence the boomerang effect.

He graduated from Law School in 2006, passed the Virginia bar, and got a job with a DC law firm as a contract attorney. He continued to live with us while he saved money. But last December, he bought a condo about nine miles away in the Alexandria part of Fairfax County. Today, his new furniture arrived, and tonight he has moved out!

So Nancy and I are

EMPTY NESTERS AGAIN !!

Very cool, Ed! I imagine Andrew is pretty excited about his first home purchase! The Alexandria area is really nice - Mark and I used to drive up there occasionally on the weekends.

Thanks, Dawn. This isn't in the Old Town part of Alexandria where you've probably gone. In fact, this isn't in the city of Alexandria at all. It's in the part of Fairfax County adjoining the city of Alexandria. He's a ctually just south of the beltway in an area of the county called "Kingstowne." - but the mailing address is Alexandria.

Nancy and I were over his place yesterday afternoon, to see how hos place looked with his new furniture in place. We were both quite pleased. Our boy did all right for himself.
