I was in a keyboard mood today, so here's a CD featuring some really good keyboards.
1. Get Back - The Beatles 2. Roundabout - Yes 3. Lazy - Deep Purple 4. Riders on the Storm - Doors 5. Glad - Traffic 6. House of the Rising Sun - Animals 7. Hold Your Head Up - Argent 8 & 9 . 1984/Jump - Van Halen 10. Frankenstein - Edgar Winter 11. Jessica - Allman Brothers 12. Oye Como Va - Sanatana 13. Light My Fire - Doors 14. Magic Carpet Ride - Steppenwolf
Enjoy

Keyboards? Where's Philippe Entremont playing Chopin? ;D
"Lazy" - now there's a song you never hear anymore, great keyboards.
"Jessica" too- great instrumental break there.

Another excellent mix, Woody!
Billy Preston's organ on Get Back is one of the highlights of the song for me. I've often wondered what direction the Beatles' music would have taken had they not broken up in 1970, and brought Billy on board as a full member.
Love the synths in Frankenstein, too. Edgar is amazing on the keyboards; when I saw him perform Frankenstein as part of the All-Starr Band, he absolutely rocked!

Assume the Beatles stay together and the album Band On the Run is put together. What would the song "Nineteen Hundred & Eight Five" with Billy on keyboards sound like. And would we have gotten a Beatles spin on "Nothing from Nothing"? The mind boggles with the woulda, shoulda, coulda. Ain't music great. BTW Dawn, if you haven't already, and if you can find it, check out Billy's version of My Sweet Lord from the Concert for George CD. It's very moving.

Somehow when great Deep Purple songs are mentioned, Lazy is left out, but it is an outstanding song. Jessica is my all time favorite instrumental
