A few weeks ago my daughter called and asked for a Beatles CD that contained the song Across the Universe. Apparently her husband had heard the soundtrack, and wanted the Beatles version of the song. So this is what I came up with for him. Enjoy.
1. Girl 2. All My Loving 3. I Want To Hold Your Hand 4. With a Little Help From My Friends 5. I've Seen a Face 6. Let It Be 7. Come Together 8. Flying 9. Blue Jay Way 10. I Am a Walrus 11. Being For the Benefit of Mr. Kite 12. Oh! Darling 13. Because 14. Strawberry Fields Forever 15. Revolution 16. While My Guitar Gently Weeps 17. Across the Universe 18. Blackbird 19. Hey Jude 20. Don't Let Me Down

Another great selection, Woody. The tracks flow well together, and it's cool to see some of the lesser-known tracks like Flying, Blue Jay Way and Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite included.
Blue Jay Way was a hard song for me to appreciate for quite a few years, but in more recent ones it's really grown on me. I remember the first time I visited L.A., before I moved to CA, it was a real treat to see the street which inspired the song. Kinda harrowing to drive on, though - very narrow, with lots of sharp turns.

My niece saw the movie at a friend's house this passed weekend. She was telling me how much she liked it. She thought that "Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite"was a very cool tune! A great selection of tunes - hey, it's the Beatles after all!

My 20-year-old niece saw the movie, too, and it turned her into an overnight Beatles fan. I beamed with pride when I discovered this, as I remember one of the first things I taught her when she was a toddler to do was to exclaim "Paul McCartney!" when asked who her favorite Beatle was.
