I'm going with Grand Funk's version, as that was the one I knew first, and I've always liked the "gritty" edge they put on it.

For a short time during the early days of The Click, I ran a series of polls where I piocked a song that had been covered a few times and asked people to vote for their favorite. Those posts still exist on the back 2 or 3 pages of the Poll Board. But for some reason, although the dialogue is all there, the poll results have been removed as have the choices - which have all been repaced by one choice listed three times. )Very strange). Anyway, I ran this poll on these three very songs. My tastes have not changed in 5 years. Grand Funk! |
