I know this did get on the top 40 in 1973 but I couldn't find how far on the charts it got! Any one remember this song? I know it is from Canadian singer Ian Thomas and maybe did not get played much where you are but being here in Northwestern Pa I did get to hear it a lot! Heard it tonight on my canadian radio station and I do own a copy! Hey Matt, you guys do have very talented musicians and great radio stations!

Maybe because I was living in Canada in late '73. The song peaked at #34 in early 1974. I've always liked that song, and I have it included on my "No One Else Remembers" Vol 6 Double-CD Mix. If you don't have a Joel Whitburn reference book of Top 40 (or Hot 100) hits, this is a pretty good website for chart information: www.gramble.com/music/top40.html

That's a great song! I first heard it on an Adam VIII compilation LP called the Now Explosion, and I think I also have it on a K-Tel LP as well as the Rhino Have a Nice Day series.

Love it!
I remember hearing it quite often when I was little. I have the 45 and (like Dawn) I also have it on CD on Rhino's "Have a Nice Day" series.
I've always thought that Ian sounded like Neil Young on this track.
