Ow, H2, my head hurts! I give.... I actually gave the answer - or thought I did - over a month ago, but apparently never hit "post reply" and never realized I hadn't posted it. I apologize. Here is the answer. You have to sound out the letters: The customer first asks the waiter: "Have you any Ham?" (F-U-N-E-M) The waiter answers: "Yes, we have ham." (S-V-F-M) The customer then asks: "Have you any eggs?" (F-U-N-E-X) The waiter replies: "Yes, we have eggs." (S-V-F-X) So, the customer places his order: "Okay, I'll have ham and eggs." (O-K-I-F-M-N-X)

That's cute! There are a couple of books like that--"C-D-B" and "C-D-C" ("See the Bee", "See the Sea"). I don't remember who the author was. I once gave a copy of "C-D-C" to a friend of mine named Karen, and I wrote a note with it that said, "K-R-N, D-S S 4 U" ("Karen, this is for you").
