Driving home from a vacation is always a sad time. Vacation's over, work looming. So how to make the trip a little less annoying. Play some classic 60s stuff. This CD (I made several years ago) took me almost all the home last Saturday morning (it was about 20 minutes short). Enjoy!!
1. A Whiter Shade of Pale - Procrul Harum 2. Let's Live for Today - Grassroots 3. So You Want To be a Rock & Roll Star - Byrds 4. Bella Linda - Grassroots 5. You Made Me So Very Happy - Blood, Sweat, & Tears 6. Substitute - Who 7. White Room - Cream 8. Hair - Cowsills 9. Today - Jefferson Airplane 10. The Unicorn - Irish Rovers 11. Please, Please Me - Beatles 12. Down On the Corner - CCR 13. Indian Giver - 1910 Fruitgum Co. 14. Respect - Aretha Franklin 15. Requiem for the Masses - Association 16. For What It's Worth - Buffalo Springfield 17. Kind Of a Drag - Buckinghams 18. Bluebird - Buffalo Springfield 19. Guinnevere - Crosby, Stills, & Nash 20. A Well Respected Man - Kinks 21. While My Guitar Gently Weeps - Beatles 22. Your Auntie Grizelda - Monkees 23. Go Now - Moody Blues
The miles didn't seem quite so long & the trip home a little more enjoyable.

That's a pretty cool CD, Woody! You seem to have captured a little of everything about the '60s. You have British Invasion, R&B, Bubblegum, Classic Rock, folk, jazz-rock, plain ol' rock ...Great CD!

A very, very good compilation, Woody!
I remember my Uncle really liked "The Unicorn." I seem to recall he had the album on 8 track.

Woody, that's a great lineup of songs and artists, and I like how you've mixed some of the popular tracks with some lesser-heard ones, like Bella Linda and Guinnevere. White Room is always a cool track to rock out to, and While My Guitar Gently Weeps is one of my favorite Beatles songs.

Great collection! "Bella Linda" and "Let's Live For Today" (as well as many of the other Grass Roots songs) will always remind me of driving to work when I used to have an hour commute both to and from work. I had 2 Grass Roots CDs that I played quite often. There's nothing like good music to cheer you up when you're going home from vacation or to work!
Be-la Lin-da....try and understand......Be-la Lin-da.......I'm doing all I can......Be-la Lin-da......I'm only what I am.....

Woody, I commend you for gathering an eclectic mix of pop, psychedelic, soul and rock. You also didn't stick with the run-of-the-mill picks that sometimes crowd the airwaves!
