My son-in-law mentioned last week that I would make sure Brighton would appreciate music the preceded him. To get him started on his lifetime musical journey, I've made Brighton's 1st Rock & Roll CD. Started him on the the known stuff. As he grows, we'll get him into the deeper stuff. Anyway, enjoy!!!
1. Rock Around the Clock - Bill Haley & the Comets 2. Hard Rock Cafe - Carole King 3. Old Time Rock & Roll - Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band 4. Rockin' Down the Highway - Doobie Brothers 5. Roll on Down the Highway - Bachman-Turner Overdrive 6. Rock Me - Steppenwolf 7. We Will Rock You - Queen 8. Roll With It - Steve Winwood 9. Rock & Roll is Here to Stay - Danny & the Juniors 10. Rockaria - Electric Light Orchestra 11. Long Live Rock - The Who 12. Rock & Roll - Led Zeppelin 13. For Those About to Rock (We Salute You) - AC/DC 14. Rock & Roll All Nite - Kiss 15. I Love Rock & Roll - Joan Jett & the Blackhearts 16. Venus & Mars/Rock Show - Wings 17. Rock 'n Me - Steve Miller Band 18. It's Only Rock & Roll - Rolling Stones 19. Baby's a Rock & Roller - Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers 20. I'm Just a Singer (In a Rock & Roll Band) - Moody Blues 21. Crocodile Rock - Elton John 22. Rock & Roll Music - Chuck Berry 23. Red River Rock - Johnny & the Hurricanes
We need to get mom & dad playing this softly in his room to get those subliminal messages started. You know repeat after me "this is good music."

This will be a great beginning for little Brighton's music collection. Lots of great classics!
I'm a firm believer that the music you're exposed to when you are young really does have an impact on what you listen to later in life.

Very nice! I grew up listening to "old school" rock n roll and 70's bands like Pink Floyd and all that stuff the "old guys" listen to, cause my parents made me listen to the songs they grew up with. I think that the exposure to the older music has made me appreciate all sorts of music from the oldies to the new stuff, from rock n roll, bubblegum pop, to heavy metal and everything. When I have kids, I'm going to make sure they listen to and appreciate the music I grew up with and the music my parents grew up with, along with listening to whatever's popular with their friends or whatever they decide to like. As long as they appreciate the oldies too, just like I do.

A fitting collection for a baby's first introduction to music! Nice job. All I listened to when i was born was the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack...and oddly enough, I don't like most disco music.
