With four votes, Take It Easy became the latest casualty of Album Survivor.
We're down to the final pairing. Which one of these will be our champion? With an album as solid as this one, just getting this far attests that both are great songs.
Vote for the song you want to eliminate, not the one you want to win. Voting will be open until Wednesday morning, at which time we'll begin a new game. Paul McCartney's All the Best! will be up next, followed by a great album suggestion from Woody.

I voted against Lyin' Eyes also. It's like saying "No thanks, I don't want the lobster, I'll have the Porterhouse steak!"
BTW. in case you guys don't get down to the nether regions of these boards, I posted a fairly detailed review of last Saturday night's Eagles concert in DC on the Concerts Board.

I voted off "Lyin' Eyes", although I love both songs. And these had better be the long versions of both of them.

I voted off "Lyin' Eyes", although I love both songs. And these had better be the long versions of both of them. I agree about the long versions, Laura. The radio edit of Lyin' Eyes takes out that whole concept of the woman having a "friend" elsewhere. It's a pretty large section, so I can understand why they edited it, but I think its very important to the song. Unless there is a third even longer version of Best Of My Love, that I'm not familiar with, I've never been able to understand why they edited it at all. They take out about ten seconds of music near the end, where Glenn sings "here in my heart, you get the best of my love" instead of going straight in to "oh sweet darlin' " -- I mean why bother to edit 10 seconds out of the song?  |
