Very tragic. Loved his work, and his music.

He'll be missed, that's for sure. I always loved his singing. "Shaft" is a fun song, and I have the CD "Hot Buttered Soul" (I actually bought it at a yard sale for $1 a few years back!). It only has 4 songs on it--because 2 of them are really l-o-n-g--but it's a great CD, especially his version of "Walk On By", which is about 12 min. long.

IMO Issac Hayes will be remembered as one the true icons of popular music. He did so much that was good. RIP Issac, you will be missed, but you will never be forgotten.
