I grew up in a time when 60s AM radio ruled the airwaves. I remember all the jocks, the songs, the contests, everything. Everywhere you went, your transistor radio wa at hand. The DJs were almost as important as the next song to play. And the weekends were always so fun. You not only got what was charting, but they had flashback weekends, played the oldies (the real oldies). Saturday & Sundays on the beach were the best. Anyway, enough of reminiscing, here's my tribute to the radio. All songs have "radio" in the lyrics or title. It starts out fast, slows down in the middle, finishes big. This playlist spans the decades from the early 60s to the mid 90s. Enjoy!!!
Fun, Fun, Fun - Beach Boys Running Down a Dream - Tom Petty Detroit Rock City - Kiss Dancing in the Dark - Bruce Springsteen Mr. Blue Sky - Electric Light Orchestra Rock & Roll Dreams - Meatloaf Song On the Radio - Al Stewart FM - Steely Dan Turn On the Radio - Harry Nillson That's the Way it Goes - George Harrison Take Me Home, Country Roads - John Denver Lookin' Out My Back Door - Creedence Clearwater Revival Brown-Eyed Girl - Van Morrison I Need a Lover - Jon Mellencamp Raised on Radio - Journey Radar Love - Golden Earring Radio Ga-Ga - Queen

Some great songs here, Woody!
My favorites include: Fun Fun Fun, Dancing In the Dark, Mr. Blue Sky, Rock & Roll Dreams, Lookin' Out My Back Door, Brown Eyed Girl, Radar Love and Radio Ga-Ga.
In fact, it seems that any time I play my Queen's greatest hits CD, it's Radio Ga-Ga that I'm humming for the rest of the day!

We've all had worse ones stuck there.
