For $275,000?!? In THIS economy? You have to figure that of the several people that have several billion dollars or even several hundred millions, there will be one who is a music/oldies lover enough that they would like a complete set of 45s.

The question I'd like to know is where you would find the room to store all of those? I guess if you could afford something like that, you probably live in a solid gold mansion with 1,000 rooms which are mostly open for storage, so that answers my question....

It wouldn't take nearly as much room as you might think, Nan.
I have something of the order of 5,000 45s in my own collection. I have a five-drawer legal size lateral filing cabinet and a second two-drawer legal size lateral filing cabinet. Since the drawers are 14 inches wide (legal size), I can store two rows of 45s in each drawer. My collection basically fits within the 14 rows, stored upright.
You could likely store the Neiman Marcus collection in 4 or 5 five-drawer legal size cabinets. A medium sized storage room could handle that.
Now - the armed guard service 24/7 would be another matter.
