I've been thinking a lot lately about how many of my favorite artists/bands have released new music this year. Brian Wilson has a new CD out, as well as the long overdue re-release of Dennis Wilson's "Pacific Ocean Blue" and "Bamboo" finally seeing official release.
The Genesis Box Set of the Peter Gabriel-era albums just came out, which will probably be on my Christmas wish list.
And, for hard rock/metal, 2008 also saw new releases from: Dokken Motley Crue Metallica AC/DC Extreme Def Leppard Paul Stanley (actually may have been 2007) Great White (Ditto) Judas Priest King's X Motorhead
and FINALLY, we get the long-awaited release of Guns N' Roses "Chinese Democracy"!
Who says music is dead?

Who says music is dead? I wonder if in 20 or 30 years (C)rap fans will be touting the new releases by 50 cent, or strawberry ice or whatever saying that they are so happy that (C) rap isn't dead. But seriously, it's good to see so many really good groups still alive. Since you went back to 2007 one time, I'll add The Eagles "Long Road Out of Eden" double CD from '07, which has become one of my favorite CDs of all. I also want to check out the Leppard and AC/DC CDs. Oh, and BTW those are great new pics of Mary McDonough that you have.
