Looks like you have a bunch of new food for "Bobby", Grem. It's quite an eclectic group including some '50s and early '60s stuff. That's not easy to find. What do these 45s cost you individually?

Looks like you have a bunch of new food for "Bobby", Grem. It's quite an eclectic group including some '50s and early '60s stuff. That's not easy to find. What do these 45s cost you individually?

The majority were 50 cents at Goodwill--but I did pick up several at a Sioux City antique store for $1 apiece (Chiffons, McPhatter, Rydell, Plastic Ono Band and a few others)...I also found a few radio promo copies for Julius LaRosa and Vicki Carr at Goodwill, which didn't excite me but came with their label sleeves, so I bought them as well. I even came across another copy of Carr's "He's a Rebel"--but one copy is more than enough.

I've been listening to Bubble Puppy the most--I was familiar with the title, but that had been it. Solid metal psych from the 1960's.

The Volunteer Jam is a concert that the CDB does every year. They release an album of it every year as well.

What you have there is the original Volunteer Jam, hence it's the original release. Long out of print. Often sought after by CDB fans.

Grem, those were great finds, especially the Bubble Puppy - I've never run across one in all my hunts for 45s. I'm guessing the Crazy Elephant is pretty rare as well.

Great finds! especially Dave Allan's "Blues Theme" love it!

It's very tough to find anything good in the goodwill stores around my area. The records always seem to be trashed.

As far as the antique stores go, it's hard to find deals, but I still go, hoping I'll hit the jackpot, and find something!

Thanks for the information! I checked out the Volunteer Jam, as I had never heard of the event...sounds like quite the gathering. I was mostly attracted by the fact it was an EP released in 1974, which seemed odd...
