I just recently found out of the existance of these Cheap Trick songs: Spring Break Get Ready Up The Creek All of them were used in movie soundtracks in the early 80's, and released as singles. None of them have ever appeared on a Cheap Trick album, box set, or re-issue. I need these songs, because for years I thought I had everything they ever released, now I find that my life has been a lie..... I've tried looking for torrents, to no avail.... BTW- at the moment, for the first time in my life, I have no turntable. So CD or MP3 format is best. Any help would be appreciated..

I think I have "Up The Creek".
Not sure of quality.
I remember it from the crappy movie of the same name. And it had a weird video.
PM me your e-mail address.
I may be able to get the others....

Pete, If Railyn's version is low quality, I have Up The Creek as well as an MP3 128 bps. Quality seems good. PM me if you still need it. No luck with the others yet, but I'll keep looking.

I don't have any of the songs myself, but I found a link to a download of the Spring Break soundtrack. It was mentioned that it was sourced from cassette. I can PM you the link to it if you're interested.

What films were these used in? They might be lurking somewhere in my files!

What films were these used in? They might be lurking somewhere in my files! Well, thanks to Railyn and Ed, I have "Up The Creek". "Spring Break" was, I believe, from a movie of the same name. A single was issued on Warner Bros. "Get Ready" was the b-side, not sure if it was used in the movie or not (may not even be a Cheap Trick song). I'm going to assume that Warner Bros. issued a soundtrack album, since Cheap Trick were on Epic at the time.

Yes, according to allmusic, the original soundtrack was released on the Warner Brothers label. It looks like it's been out of print for some time now, and never released on CD that I can tell.
I've sent Spring Break, and will keep an eye out for Get Ready - that one may be harder to find since it was apparently only released as that single B side and not on the soundtrack.

While searching the other day, I did see that portions of the movie "Spring Break" were on YouTube. Since I wasn't looking for a movie at the time, I didn't check them out. -- And now since I'm at work, I can't, thanks to our illustrious Web Weasel. Pete, you may be able to find what you were looking for there - and you can download audios from YouTube.
