Post your recollections of what music-related items have come up on the Roadshow. I've seen some of the shows but don't watch it regularly.
Two items I recall: The Beatles' "butcher album cover" was featured once. Don't remember what it was appraised for, but it was much higher than the album sells for on Ebay.
Someone brought in the 70's Saturday Night Live LP, signed by 5 or 6 of the original cast. Said they found it at a thrift shop. (I have the album, but not signed by anybody).
What else has been on the show?

Well, this isn't music related, but I have a cousin who was on the show and had a baseball card collection appraised at $30,000.

I remember watching the episode with the Butcher Cover. I remember she said that she bought the album at Sears.
I recall seeing another episode where a woman had a few Beatles Apple 45's with the picture sleeves along with some Beatles autographs.
I remember the appraiser mentioning that it was hard to say if the autographs were authentic because there was the odd occasion (for example if you asked for an autograph by mail) that Neil Aspinall or Mal Evans would sign the item instead of the Beatles themselves. Neil and Mal apparently were quite good at forging their signatures.

The appraiser said of some collection of cards the person brought in, he'd never seen anything like this before. Then the person said, wow, and we've got twenty more boxes of these back home.

One episode featured a person whose father was a Capitol Records A & R man, and he had the Fab Four autograph a newly released album (can't remember which) for him...the novelty was that it was the first time the Beatles had seen the American release of that album.
