The "Behind The Music" episode has been reposted on YouTube. Let's see how long it lasts this time. PS: I remember the last time it was up, someone(Dawn?)said they were able to save it directly to their computer. Can you tell me how to do that?( I'm running Windows XP Home Edition and IE7, if it matters.) Thanks!

PS: I remember the last time it was up, someone(Dawn?)said they were able to save it directly to their computer. Can you tell me how to do that?( I'm running Windows XP Home Edition and IE7, if it matters.) Thanks! Yep, that was me. I was able to grab it from YouTube before it was pulled. I agree, it seems like the Chicago material doesn't last long on the site, which is frustrating. Very little of it is commercially available, so it's not as though they are losing money on royalties or anything like that by leaving it up. The sites I use are www.keepvid.com and www.file2hd.com. Just enter the URL of the video on the main page, and it will give you links to download the file. Usually with YouTube, there are both high and low quality options - the high quality is a bigger file, but gives you a nicer picture. Right click on the link, and select Save Target As, and it should begin downloading. You might need to rename the file if you use keepvid; the site says to name it get_video when saving, but I've always used tags like Chicago BTM Pt.1.mp4, which is a lot easier to keep track of. Both the .flv and .mp4 video types seem to play fine in Real Player.

Thanks Dawn! I think I'm only going to keep the first four parts(through Terry's passing); I'm not really interested in the whole "Peter leaves/Danny gets fired/Chicago becomes a mushy ballad band" era.

I wish I could find the Genesis "Behind The Music" on YouTube.. That's one I'd like to see as well. There are quite a few BTMs of great '60s and '70s artists that I either missed altogether at the time, or watched but didn't record them.

That Chicago BTM is an excellent episode, I had the chance to watch it before youtube pulled it, so it's great to see it again. Up here our music channel MuchMoreMusic (our version of VH-1) aired many of the episodes and I recorded quite a few (Elton John, Bay City Rollers, 1970, 1972, 1975, 1977, Billy Joel, Tom Petty, Alice Cooper, Bangles , Blondie, Thin Lizzy etc) Like Dawn, there were several episodes I missed, but in my case, it was because Much More... never aired them. I'm surprised that more of these weren't released on DVD, one I remember seeing in the stores was the Blondie episode. I always thought that eventually they would all at some point be officially released, but that's not the case.
