I LOVE the Jackie Wilson stuff, as i am a MAJOR fan of "Mister Excitement"...also, "Walkin' to New Orleans" is easily one of my all-time favorites.

The prices are insane--it starts at $1 a record, but then drops to 50 cents if you buy 10 or more; and then 25 cents if you buy 20 or more...

Wow, some excellent , excellent finds! especially The Bobby Fuller Four!

I have two of Bobby's 45's in my collection - "I Fought The Law" which I bought at my local record show back in the mid 80's and "Love's Made a Fool Of You" which I bought at a record show in Bellingham, Washington sometime in the late 80's.

Question, is that Three Degrees the same group that recorded "When Will I See You Again?" That's the only track I've ever heard by them.

Yes! I was totally surprised by that--it is one of their first releases, on Roulette...I just ignorantly assumed that their careers began and ended with "When Will I See You Again"...

Now THOSE are the kind of prices I'm used to for bin-style old 45s! The prices go down as the volume goes up - and you become less discriiminating. You wind up going home with a suitase full - as I see you did.

Although I'm not familiar with that particular 3 Degrees song, I knew they had a pretty long career. I even remember Casey Kasem on AT40 mentioning their struggle to get a big hit as an introduction to playing When Will I See You Again.

I'm probably the only other person here familiar with Roy Orbisons Rockhouse. I don't have the 45 but I do have the mp3.

Grem, is that Elvis EP with Hound Dog and Don't Be Cruel have I Want You I Need You I Love You and My Baby Left Me as the other 2 songs? Did you get it with the picture sleeve? I bought that one new back in '56 or '57.

They had a hit in '70 with "Maybe", on the Roulette label. It was a cover of a Chantels song. Not sure if it went Top 40 or not.

Yep. They formed in 1963, and were still recording into the '90s, albeit as with most groups, with different members.

That IS the same EP, but no picture sleeve...that would have been well beyond my cheap limits...and I DID wind up with a trunk-load...normally, I have a "definite" "maybe" and a "well..." pile when I hunt for records, but due to time restraints I just threw all the ones i was interested in into one pile and made out well. There were a bunch i didn't mention...

I'm just tickled at how much interest in the Three Degrees this post kicked up! I'm learnin' stuff and junk!
