Many of us here grew up watching Sesame Street.
Remember this?

That show (and Electric Company as well) had the coolest songs for the segments. Great graphics, too.
Here's one I always liked; it was so cool to see this again after all these years:
I always got a kick out of the exaggerated country accent!

Here's another great one. I remember the turtle the most vividly from watching it as a kid. Joe Raposo's songs often had such a wonderful wistful quality to them; I got a little teary-eyed watching this.

Yes Dawn, I agree that Joe Raposo was great beyond words. He and Jeff Moss really defined the sound of that show during its heyday in the 70s. Here's a fave musical tune from my memories, animated by the wonderful Jim Henson....

I remembe the one Ken posted (The Capital I) but how come they're all in a Capital S?
Anyway, this is probably my favorite of all time:

The animation is completely accurate except for the "S". That's trippy skippy. I wonder why someone did that? The same guys who brought us the "Capital I" song also brought us this gem that I cried over every time I saw it as a kid... Here's the real "Capital I":

These clips are great! The quality of the animation and the songwriting on the show was excellent.
Here's another from the early days:
