Joe Jackson was interviewed at the BET Awards. His cold, seemingly indifferent reaction to his son's death and attempt to plug his record company at such a time is appalling. www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCc3NHRrTOcI know people can sometimes react in unusual ways when in shock over a loved one's passing, but this doesn't strike me as a man who is grieving very much. I feel bad for Michael's children. Apparently Debbie Rowe has shown little interest in their upbringing, and if even a fraction of the rumors about Joe's abusive behavior toward his family are true, he has no business having any part of raising the kids. What a tragedy all around.

On the flipside though, I saw clips of Janet at the BET awards doing that tribute to him on the stage, and you can clearly tell that Janet truly loved her brother, as I'm sure his other siblings did. Michael and Janet always had the closest relationship though...seeing their 1995 video for Scream still sends chills down my spine!
I always saw Janet as the most grounded of the Jackson bunch (Nipplegate incident aside), and if there's someone who truly understood what Michael went through, it'd be her.

That attempt to plug his record company is very odd and VERY out of place. Joe is very creepy, and yeah I've heard stories about his abusive ways as well. Michael's kids don't need to be around him.
I also feel bad for the kids. As far as Debbie Rowe is concerned, apparently the children have no relationship with her whatsoever, she gave up any rights she had to them years ago.
Maybe Janet could gain custody and care for them (?)
