A friend of mine had that Sesame Street record.
I found an old WT Grant ad once on microfilm (while searching for something else) where they were selling 45's by the pound.....

A friend of mine had that Sesame Street record. I found an old WT Grant ad once on microfilm (while searching for something else) where they were selling 45's by the pound..... Railyn, I also own a copy of that Sesame Street LP, as well as the one they did for Warner Bros. $.87 for an album in 1971. Those are great deals and I'll bet some of the in those albums found in the discount bins go for good money on ebay!

That's very cool! There were some really good albums and artists included in that sale.
I miss the Woolworth's stores. They always seemed to have an interesting variety of items.

I miss Woolworths. When I started collecting stamps as a kid, we went to Woolworths for the bags of foreign stamps they sold.
Looking for Woolworths videos on Youtube, it seems it survived in England & Australia long after they folded here in the US.
