What a complete, classlessly idiot. Plain and simple. Stealing the spotlight from a deserved winner, and not for himself, but for someone who wasn't even in on it and didn't want it to happen!
Kudos to Beyonce for bringing out Taylor and letting her use Beyonce's time to give the speech.
If Kanye is such good friends with Beyonce, he needs to take some lessons from her.

I saw the footage on the evening news last night. I haven't had much use for Kanye for a while now, but the way he acted was absolutely shameful. What did he hope to accomplish by that little stunt? He only succeeded in ruining Taylor's moment, embarrassing Beyoncé and making himself look like a total jerk.
I hear that he's now apologizing - trying to do damage control to his image, most likely. All the apologies in the world won't make up for what he did, and I suspect he has lost some fans because of his actions.

Read what he said to Leno. His apology only served himself.
I didn't feel the need to start a post about it because his jerk-osity spoke for itself.

The guy's a jerk and a complete idiot. I have never seen anybody put their foot in their mouth as many times as he has.
I read about it on MSN Monday morning, then later that night saw the footage on the evening news. Poor Taylor Swift, I felt bad for her.
Kanye is a loser. I've heard many are deleting his songs from their ipods.

I'd just like to say that at least Beyonce showed a ton of class in letting Taylor Swift give her acceptance speech when Beyonce took home her own award. I thought it was great. As for Taylor Swift, although Kanye West did steal her moment in the sun, if anything, this incident has endeared her more to everyone, just based on the amount of dignity and class she has exhibited. I'm not that much of a country music fan, and I want to buy her new album! I would bash Kanye here, but the rest of the world seems to be doing a good enough job as it is.

I saw Kanye West open for the Rolling Stones, back in 2006. He was a very good performer whom won over the sometimes finicky RS crowd. But seeing Kanye storm the stage during Taylor Swifts acceptance speech, I was pretty pissed off! I did feel Beyonce showed some class by inviting Taylor onstage for her acceptance speech. Kanye did damage control by apologizing for his inappropriate behavior on Jay Leno. So the fact remains, is Kanye a man whom made a poor decision and can be given a second chance? Or is he a drunken jackass whom can't handle fame?

I think everyone here is trying very hard to avoid the elephant in the room!
Kanye West is plain and simple a racist. He was pissed off that recognition was being made of a white singer.

That thought had crossed my mind, Ed. Reverse racism is alive and well, but I think we like to believe that it's not the case. However, you may very well be right.
I don't like either song. Single Ladies is way too repetitive, and You Belong With Me is too twangy, despite it being a crossover song. However, judging solely by the videos themselves - because it's a video award - the right one won. And I honestly can't fathom how Benyonce won video of the year for that one.

I agree with you as well Ed. To me, West is just playing the race card for recognition as his 15 minutes of fame slowly tick away. This guy will be gone in a year.
