About a month ago, I made a trip to the bazaar at my church. I wanted to get their early so I could find some good deals. It was a rainy day and a huge crowd gathered for the festivities. One booth that was pretty active was the White Elephant booth. This is were fellow parishioners and the general public gather items that were stored in their basements, in hopes to find a gem. I gravitated toward the used CD, DVD, LP and VHS table and picked up ten used CD's all for just a dollar apiece! Here were my finds: More Than You Think You Are - Matchbox Twenty Greatest Hits - Billy Ocean Drive - Alan Jackson Close To The Telescope - KT Tunstall Songs of Faith and Devotion - Depeche Mode Best of the Monkees - 2003 Remaster Ten Sommoner's Tales - Sting All The Best - Paul McCartney Back To Front - Lionel Richie Endless Love - 15 of Motown's Greatest Love Songs (Compilation) It's funny, you never think people would be interested in old records or cassettes for that matter. But when the prices are pretty cheap, people don't mind adding it to their collection. Later that evening, I had some fun winning - and eventually - losing money at the Texas hold 'em table. The second evening I volunteered at the chuck-a-luck wheel. It's a wheel under the gambling tent that I ran with another friend from my church. The first hour was fairly quiet, but from 9-10 it was pretty busy. This made me very happy. It was great to see a lot of friends visit the table.

I must have missed this earlier, but great post, Dave.
It's been awhile since I've done much garage/rummage sale browsing, but the records/tapes/CDs are always one of the first things I look for. You got some great deals, especially the McCartney and the remastered Monkees discs.

Some great finds, Dave.
Although there has been the odd time when I have found something I've been looking for. My Luck is usually not that great at garage / rummage sales anymore I always see the same titles over and over.
