I will be checking that out show. I believe that performance is from his summer concert in NYC, which is currently available in a 2 cd/1 dvd package.

I recorded it, but haven't had a chance to watch it yet. I'm looking forward to checking it out!
Did anyone see "The Beatles On Record" that aired on The History Channel last week?

The show was too broken up to feel like a concert. And Sir Paul cut several of his songs, either instrumental bridges or whole lines of lyrics. I saw the Beatles on Record. It's always nice to see George Martin- you seldom see him.

It's always nice to see George Martin- you seldom see him. That's too bad that the songs were edited and that it was broken up so much. I guess there are limitations with airing it on TV, but still... I agree, it's always nice to hear George's perspective on the group's recordings. The photos were great, too - there were quite a few I hadn't seen before.

Our version of the History channel (History Channel Canada) has a totally different schedule than the U.S. version so they didn't show it. However, good news! one of our local networks is showing The Beatles on Record this Friday night and I will be recording it. The only song on the McCartney special that I noticed was edited was I Saw Her Standing There, it was missing the guitar solo.
