I still do! But it seems that today with everyone owning an ipod, listening to music has become something that is done more and more on a "personal" level. However I know that many of us here have memories when we were growing up of either being at friends houses or cousins homes and we enjoyed listening to music together. I remember being out with my buddies shopping for music when we were in high school and we would go right from the store to one of our houses and listen to what we bought. Your thoughts?

Unfortunately, I haven't done much social listening to music in quite some time now. But I remember doing it very often during my childhood, teen and early adult years. It was always fun to sit around the record player or stereo listening to new albums and 45s and talking about the music.

No. I used to, in high school and college. Get friends around in the living room, and listen to an LP. With the lights out, sometimes. I think it might be related to smoking pot with friends back then. Closest now is sending youtube videos to people for them to hear.

usually just when i'm driving/riding in a car with friends. of course, everyone's been moving away recently, so those occurrences will probably become less frequent.
