The Rolling Stones have rarely given interviews over the past thirty years. So it was surprising to me when I heard that CNN's Larry King would be interviewing Mick Jagger on his program. The interview will air this evening at 9:00 EST. I don't know if the interview will be live, and I'm not sure if Mick would allow the general audience to ask him anything. Jagger is known for being shy off camera, so I'm hoping this will be a good interview. There has been a lot of press concerning the rerelease & remaster of "Exile on Main Street", which is considered by fans and critics as the Rolling Stones masterpiece.

Dave - Did you see the interview? I'd be interested in how informative it was. Now - an interesting interview would be Larry King with Keith Richards. Did I say interesdting? I meant scary! ;D

I meant scary! ;D Ed, I watched Larry interview Mick on Weds. night. Larry asked Mick about the making of "Exile on Main Street" and why the Stones were tax exiles, hence the title. Larry was also curious about the the new tracks, the upcoming DVD documentary and why the group decided to rerelease the CD. I'm glad Larry concentrated on the music and the history surrounding the Rolling Stones. I confess nothing was much of a surprise, but I found it enjoyable. There may have been some whom may have been more interested in the relationship with bandmate and sometimes rival Keith Richards. Perhaps Jagger's relationship issues may have made the interview more juicy. But considering Mick is intensely private and not much of a fodder for the tabloids, this kind of information wasn't touched upon. Interviewing certain musicians isn't quite Larry's forte. But the guy is more engaged than Andy Rooney.

I guess there are resources to buy the new tracks only. Larry is definitely more engaged than Andy Rooney. I think Larry has been engaged a couple dozen times. ;D
