Pink Floyd has been one of those groups of which I have enjoyed listening to since high school. Yes, some of the songs were 'out there' but they always managed to hold my attention. "Learning to Fly" is up there as one of my favorite most inspiring songs.
Last fall I managed to see the Australian Pink Floyd Show....and I was blown away at how great it was. (They are said to be the most accurate tribute band...playing show to identical "T's" of the original). After the show, I could not help wondering how great an actual Pink Floyd show would be.
My question here: anybody know if they will ever tour again? I know their keyboard player died, but would Gilmour, Waters and Mason ever go out one more time? Anybody have any info on what is up with them? Also, had anybody ever seen them live? How were they?? Thanks!!!

1) Given the perennial desire for money, I can see Gilmour & Mason going out on the road pretending to be Pink Floyd. But I can't see Waters joining them. It's possible some day Waters might go tour again too, claiming to be PF. The battle of the PFs. (I think they've already had legal wrangling over that).
2) I've seen them 3 times, none recently. I liked them up to Dark Side, but not so much afterwards. Their music was less interesting, and their SFX got way overelaborate. That was the case the third time I saw them. When you get over-complicated things can foul up. And that time the giant inflatable pig was supposed to zoom out over the audience, but it got stuck at the starting gate and just sat there the rest of the concert.
First two times were wonderful.

Shame that inflatable pig was a bust...that would have been pretty interesting!
Roger Waters is beginning a "The Wall" solo tour in September, continuing well into 2011.

With Rick Wright's passing, I don't forsee any Pink Floyd reunion. Mason, Waters and Gilmour are pretty set finanially. They've made their statement and seem content with their respecitve projects. Gilmour continues to release solo CD's with varying degrees of success. Nick Mason invested his money wisely and enjoys sleeping til' noon, surfing and the occasional margarita! 8-)Roger Waters is currently touring with a 30th anniversary presentation of the The Wall, which not only was the band's hugest seller, but also led to their demise.
I read a Rolling Stone article where Waters and Gilmour made peace with each other after years of bickering. Pink Floyd's last album "Division Bell" was in 1994, which debuted at no. one. The band would not want to tour without new material to support. In this day and age fans want new product to hear live.
