1990 - Milli Vanilli's Rob Pilatus shared his perspective on life with Time magazine. In the interview he said, "Musically, we're more talented than any Bob Dylan or Paul McCartney. Mick Jagger can't produce a sound. I'm the new Elvis." Discuss. www.on-this-day.com/onthisday/thedays/music/feb27.htm

The funny thing is that musically, I think the REAL singers were quite talented. It just wasn't Rob and his buddy Fabrice. The real singers were Charles Shaw, John Davis and Brad Howe. I don't know if they were ever given any real credit. and on another item: 1991 - James Brown was paroled from prison after serving two years. He had been sentenced to six years in prison after leading police on an interstate car chase. 1997 - James Brown asked talk show hostess Rolanda White to marry him during the taping of one of her shows. She didn't marry him. I wonder if 1991 had anything to do with Ms. White's 1997 decision. Probably more important was the fact that James liked to beat the crap out of his women.

Well perhaps Mr Pilatus meant he was the new Marcel Marceau.
1967- "Arnold Layne". Great song about a deviant prevert.
