This one was difficult at first, but then it became REALLY easy...
Whenever this song plays, I'm 19 years old and living on my own in Minneapolis, driving around Lake Harriet in the summer of 1985...I was young and cocky as hell, the future was bright and knew no boundaries...and this song was screaming from my '67 Chevelle.

Okay, Grem...here's mine. Seems like a random choice, but I have a really weird memory associated with it. As some of you may know, high school was really bad for me, and the 1997/98 school year was my worst one. Towards the end of that year, we had a spirit day where we got to tape someone to a wall with duct tape, and as it happened, one of my bullies was the unfortunate victim...and we had to answer trivia questions to win a piece of tape...so naturally, I tried to get as many pieces of tape to stick his butt there. I only wish we could've left him hanging up there...but anyway...this particular song was playing over the loudspeaker as we stuck him up there, and at the time, it was in the Top 10 on the music charts. So, it was current.

Besides, this song reminds me of taking my daughter to her clinic for her heart problems (she had a hole in her heart, which has now been surgically repaired and now she's great)--for whatever reason, this song seemed to be playing on their "muzak" system everytime...

This brings me back to my college days at Tufts, where I spent too much time in what passed for the Student Union. There was a juke box there, but it was faulty. The records started maybe 7-8 seconds into each song. There was someone or someones who just loved this song and played it all the time. And it would start after the intro, spot-on the vocals. I got soooo sick of this song. But now it just reminds me of being in the Union wasting my time.

Wow...funny how different songs conjure up different memories, huh? Glad everything went well and that your daughter's doing fine.
