Oldies Radio DESTROYED this for me...



This was a song I liked in moderation, as CCR has always been an acquired taste for me...but when oldies stations started playing it daily, it just got annoying. Then you started looking for it, just so they could get it out of the way!

I do like the fact that it made Buck Owens immortal, though. That's the only part of the song I listen for...

This is one I used to not mind in my school years, but ended up completely HATING just a few years later. It's not a bad song, but looking at it now, I wonder why I even liked it.

Just recently (in the last several months), oldies radio has ruined this song for me. All of a sudden they started to play it daily and at almost the same time each day (spooky! )

When I was little I liked the song, and remember singing along to the chorus when it was on the radio.

I've been very busy the past few days, and need to get caught up. ... OK then ...

Hate may be a bit too harsh for this - I could never really HATE anything by my favorite singer of all time! But having this overplayed to a huge fault by the idiots that program Oldies radio over the years has done a HUGE disservice to both singer and song!!!
