We've done it before....we're doin' it again. Name the songs the lines come from, take the first letters, unscramble them, and you'll get the name of a popular 60's kiddie show.
1-"I don't wanna die in a nuclear war...."
2-"Look at that rooster running after that hen...."
3-"Take a long holiday...."
4-"Phaedra is my name...."
5-"We sat and talked about things on our minds...."
6-"If you'll hold my hand, we'll chase your dreams across the sky...."
7-"Maybe we won't watch the show...."
8-"Thought I'd had enough, but I'm back for more...."

I really had to think about that #4 song. I kept thinking it was called "Phaedra" but I finally picked up enough of the tune to add lyrics. It's "Some Velvet Morning" - Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood.
6. Up Up and Away - 5th Dimension

Perhaps clues are in order....
The group that did this song was led by two brothers, who fought continually.
This song was done by four brothers.
The bass sound for this group was actually done on keyboards.
This song is named after a spice.

The lead singer of this song, although American, is buried in Europe. This group had one of the first songs in the rock era about alternative lifestyles. This group's most famous R&B hit has been covered by many performers, including the Beatles.

"Take A Long Holiday" which I didn't figure out earlier because he sings take A long holi DAY, and I didn't really understand it. It's Riders on the Storm by The Doors. Jim Morrison was buried in France.

So what is left? Please bring us up to date. "R", "E", "S", "U", and "R" have been picked. The song, which was named after a spice, and is a one-hit wonder for an artist with a one-word name, is the name of a girl. This song title describes what you might do if you find a zit on your face.

If you find a zit on your face, what might you do? "POP THAT THING", by the Isley Brothers. Speaking of brothers, what two band leaders often fought? The Davies brothers, Ray and Dave, of The Kinks, who did "APE MAN". So....what have we, unscrambled? SUPERCAR!

I'd forgotten that....thanks. Alan, the One Hit Wonder thing is a point that everyone argues about because there are so many different definitions. Last fall I met the guy who developed the One Hit Wonder display for the R&R HOF Museum in your old home town. He decided to go with the rules that the artist had to have one top 20 song and no more in the Top 40. -- as good a rule as any others, I guess. But then he said that he included Looking Glass as a one hit wonder. Brandy Tou're a Fine Girl Hit #1 in '72, but they had Jimmy Loves Mary-Anne at #33 a year later. His excuse? 'Everyonr thought they were a one hit wonder' My reason for calling you on Derek is because Whitburn lists his songs under Johnny Cymbal.
