I got TWO--first, I had this played as I removed the garter... She still gets flashbacks whenever she hears this song! Meanwhile, to be more serious...this was our first slow dance... Seeing how our anniversary was yesterday, this was a neat day to do...

This one was probably the one I struggled with the most. I'm not married, so I've never had a wedding. And, honestly, I really don't know if marriage will ever be a part of my future (at least immediately).
But, if I am lucky enough to walk down the aisle, I always thought this song here would work for a first dance.

Elvis didn't sing this at our wedding but we had it played and this is a beautiful version. And it was my Dad's favorite hymn so it was a bit like having him there.

When Nancy and I got married in 1976, the two songs that we considered "our songs" were Afternoon Delight and Silly Love Songs - neither of them appropriate for a first dance. So we went with a more traditional song. Unfortunately, the 1940s style band that my father-in-law hired absolutely ruined the song to the point that it was barely recognizable. Here's how it should have sounded.
