1971: In honor of Bob Dylan's 30th birthday, "Peanuts" runs a strip in which Linus mentions the milestone to Charlie Brown, who replies "That's the most depressing thing I've ever heard." 1963, The Beatles recorded the first of their very own BBC radio program, "Pop Go the Beatles". The theme song for the program was a version of "Pop Goes the Weasel". The Beatles' guests for this first show were the Lorne Gibson Trio.
1970 - Peter Green quits Fleetwood Mac.
1974 - On "Midnight Special," Richard Pryor was host to Olivia Newton-John and Boz Scaggs.
