[Gimme five artists with only one top 40 hit - and it made #1 Paper Lace Bobby McFerrin The New Vaudeville Band Shocking Blue Nick Gilder Another one--at least I THINK this was their only top 40 hit--would be Zager & Evans, with a song about when the Cubbies MIGHT win the World Series if they're lucky: "Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin the yeeeeeeeeeeeeear twenty-fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive-twenty-fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive..." (As for Dawn's question, I'll have to look into it a bit further--I don't have any answers right off the top of my head)

Gimme five Elton John songs that were not released as singles. OK, I've got another window open to rateyourmusic.com and one on allmusic.com and I'm going to look at the list of singles by Elton, to see what's NOT on it...My favorite of his is "Grey Seal", but it says here that that's the B-side of "Rock and Roll Madonna" ( never heard that one), so I guess that doesn't count. Let's see... 1. Chapel of Love ("Four Weddings and a Funeral" soundtrack--thank you, allmusic.com for confirming that I wasn't just imagining things and that he really did cover this song) 2. Country Comfort 3. (Gotta Get a) Meal Ticket 4. Burn Down the Mission 5. Madman Across the Water Somebody PLEASE tell me I got these right (and that these websites got their info right)!!!! Should I go ahead and ask the next question yet? Well, what the hey, just in case... Gimme 5 groups with "five" or "fifth" (or "5" or "5th") in their name.

Good job, Railyn--I came up with that question when I heard a song on the radio by Maroon 5 (who in fact DID win a Best New Artist Grammy, but are still around). Your latest question is interesting--let's see: Milli Vanilli (the most obvious) Starland Vocal Band Debby Boone (I think she's mostly been acting these days--stage musicals and stuff like that) A Taste of Honey Bobbie Gentry (although she did have a TV show in the '70s) Thanks to wikipedia.com for some of these! Here's a variation on my previous question: Gimme 5 groups with "four" or "fourth" (or "4" or "4th") in their names.
