Going to try a new feature. First of all I need to give credit to Viki, as she posted this feature on RL (although she said she "stole it" from a myspace board) and also to Adam who ran a post similar to this idea a little while ago. -- But I'll expand on the idea a little. Anyway, here's the deal. Go to your music player program on your computer, and import all of the music that you have stored on your hard drive onto a single playlist. Then hit "shuffle" List the first 25 songs (artist and title) that get played after the shuffle. Be honest. If one or more are guilty pleasures -- hey, we're all friends here. If you like, add comments, such as how that song got onto your hard drive. I'll list my 25 (I'll use the list I posted on RL from my shuffling last night) and you can comment on them if you like, but be sure to post your own list. I think that every so often we can repeat this feature, as everyone would then have a different list - I would think. Anyway here's mine: 1. Roy Orbison - Only The Lonely (Live from The Queens Theatre) I have all the Queens Theatre tracks, but haven't burned a CD yet.2. The Belmonts - Ann-Marie going on my next No One Else Remember CDs3. The Beach Boys - Til I Die Click origin. Probably Pete, but I don't remember4. Rocky Burnette - Tired of Toeing the Line 5. The Secrets - The Boy Next Door Another Click post induced this 6. Frank Ifield - I'm Confessin' 7. Wilson Phillips - The Dream Is Still Alive 8. The Iveys (early Badfinger) - I've Been Waiting 9. The Members - Working Girl Already on a Point and Click CD10. Los Pop Tops - Oh Lord, Why Lord 11. Weird Al Yankovic - Spy Hard Downloaded it a while ago after I saw the movie12. Roy Orbison - This Lonely Heart 13. Roy Orbison - In The Real World I have a "holding tank" of Roy songs that I haven't put on a CD yet. Funny how two of them came out back to back; i have over 1200 songs on my hard drive14. The Raspberries - Hands On You 15. The Beatles - Money (That's What I Want) 16. The Beatles - Martha My Dear I've been burning CD replicas of all my Beatles LPs, and the files are still on my hard drive17. Death Cab for Cutie - Scientist Studies My son leaves a lot of his music on my computer, and this one popped up. heard it for the first time last night. It's really pretty good.18. Roy Orbison - Running Scared (Live - Austin City Limits) 19. The Jayhawks - Tailspin (Live from The Women's Club) Another of my son's. -- But I really like this group20. The Beatles - Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown) 21. Jane Child - Don't Wanna Fall In Love From (I believe) a post of Adam's. 22. Movie Soundtrack - Theme from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan A while back -- like 2002? I was collecting Star Trek music off of Napster and was going to make a CD, but I never did. 23. Cliff Richard - Living Doll Inspired by Pete's 'Coulda Been A Contender' series24. The Fleetwoods - Runaround Headed to No One Else Remembers25. Del Shannon and the Traveling Wilburys - Walk Away (bootleg) When Del was "auditioning" to take Roy's spot after Roy died. - But then Del died. So... those are my Shuffle 25. How 'bout you?

1. The Knack "My Sharona" I've always liked this song. My boyfriend sings it like "My Chalupa!" cause he's silly like that.2. Babes In Toyland "Bruise Violet" I read about them on Wikipedia when I was looking up "Riot Grrrl" music. I now LOVE this song! 3. Adam Rickitt "I Breathe Again" He's a british soap star and I heard this song on The Hit List on YTV when they played only British music (They call it The Brit List), because British boybands/pop was huge in the late 90's4. Beyoncé feat. Lil' Flip "Naughty Girl" This is a total "shake ya booty all sexily" song. I love it!5. Blondie "Hangin' On The Telephone" Blondie is my favourite band, so its only natural for me to have a ton of their songs!6. Dead Or Alive "You Spin Me Right Round" I can't help but to dance and sing along whenever I hear this song!7. Outkast "Hey Ya" It was THE song at one point, I just HAD to have it.8. Joy Division "Isolation" I loooove early new wave/electronica/post-punk stuff. Ok, will somebody tell me exactly what genre Joy Division is? It is what I mentioned, right?9. Madonna "Vogue" I love old Madonna! Not "new" Madonna. She's so full of herself and not as good as she was in the 80's/early 90's. 10. Jet "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" This song is soooo great! I dance and sing to it all the time. Its so fun to sing along to, especially at a bar when EVERYBODY is singing along!11. Kim Stockwood "Jerk" The best song to listen to after a breakup!12. Dave Clark 5 "5 O'clock World" I love 60's music! My mom likes this group too (it IS them that sings this right? Sometimes music search things tend to mess up....)13. New Edition "Candy Girl" hehe, I love singing along to this song! 14. The Ronettes "Be My Baby" Gotta love EVERY SONG from Dirty Dancing!!!15. Mariah Carey "Always Be My Baby" I grew up listening to her stuff. She was THE singer to listen to when I was in grade 5 (95/96). I love this song. 16. Great Big Sea "Lukey's Boat" I LOVE east-coast music! Newfoundland music is very Irish/Celtic inspired, and I love that stuff! 17. Spice Girls "Who Do You Think You Are" I loved the Spice Girls when I was in high school. I still like them, no matter how uncool people might think that is nowadays18. Spiderbait "Calypso" From the movie "10 Things I Hate About You" which is one of my favourite movies of all time 19. Tracy Chapman "Fast Car" Its just such a great song, great lyrics, great tune too. 20. Adam Rickitt "Everything My Heart Desires" see explanation for #3 on this list. 21. Jet "Cold Hard B*tch" Jet is so fun to sing along to! 22. The Fixx "Saved By Zero" I found it on a list of "songs from the 80's to download", so I got it lol 23. Black Eyed Peas "Lets Get It Started" Another one of those "it" songs that I HAD to get cause EVERYBODY liked it...24. Bon Jovi "Blaze Of Glory" Jon Bon Jovi has the sexiest singing voice I've ever heard in my entire life 25. Bikini Kill "Rebel Girl" See explanation for song #2.

Sometimes music search things tend to mess up....)5 O'Clock World was done by the Vogues, Viki. I don't believe the DC5 covered it, but I could be wrong. Interesting list. I'm familiar with the older songs, but not many of the newer ones. I'm ready to be educated.

Ok let's see what I have on the hard drive.
1.Johnny Cash - Folsom Prison Blues I've always loved this classic. I've been wanting to learn it on guitar so I downloaded it.
2.Marc Carroll - Crash Pad Number Great Ricky 12 string on this! I'm currently working on an MP3 disc that includes Byrds songs (all taken from the boxed set) and bands that were inspired by the Byrds.
About 4 months ago I had a CD / WMA / MP3 player installed in my vehicle after I swore I would never ever! have one put in LOL!.The store was clearing out the model I had decided to buy so I got it for a VERY GOOD price. I originally had a cassette version of what's going to be on this CD.
3.Diesel Park West - Turn, Turn, Turn
4.XTC - Generals And Majors I heard Ron play this on one of his Crap From The Past radio shows so I decided to download it.
5.The Byrds- Have You Seen Her Face 6.The Byrds - Lady Friend 7.The Byrds - I Wasn't Born To Follow 8.The Byrds - Kathleen's Song
9.Terry Black - Unless You Care A song that was hit in Vancouver and (acrossed Canada as well - I believe) in late 1964 early 1965. Terry was at one of our record shows.
10.Gin Blossoms - Learning The Hard Way A very recent track from the guys. Another I heard on Crap From The Past. Great stuff!
11.Queen - I'm In love With My Car A leftover from my "Music Of 1975" MP3 disc that I made recently. I did a review on this disc here about a week ago.
12.The Byrds - Just a Season 13.The Byrds - Goin' Back 14.Cosmic Rough Riders- For a Smile 15.The Byrds - She Don't Care About Time 16.The Byrds - She Had a Way
17.INXS - Dirty Vegas I think I watched about five minutes of the pilot episode of their reality show, and that's all I could take LOL. However this is a very good track!
18.Captain Soul - Looking For Love 19.Badfinger (Joey Molland) - Sweet Tuesday Morning (1994 remake) 20.Small Faces - Green Circles 21.Michael Penn - This and That 22.Paul McCartney - Friends To Go 23.Paul McCartney - Fine Line. 24..38 Special - The sound Of Your Voice 25.The Zombies - I Want Her She Wants Me

8. Joy Division "Isolation" I loooove early new wave/electronica/post-punk stuff. Ok, will somebody tell me exactly what genre Joy Division is? It is what I mentioned, right Post-punk is a good term to describe Joy Division. Also "Dark Wave". "Isolation" is a really cool tune. "Disorder" is pretty good too..

Here's what came up in my shuffle - kind of an odd mix:
1. Eldorado Finale - Electric Light Orchestra 2. Love Don't Live Here Anymore - Rose Royce 3. You Belong to Me - Doobie Brothers 4. Wonderful - Brian Wilson From Brian's Live Performance in London, February 20, 2004 5. Can't Wait Too Long (Rehearsal) - Beach Boys From the Sea of Tunes Unsurpassed Masters Vol. 19 6. C'mon Marianne - Donny Osmond One of my guilty pleasures! ;D This is actually a pretty good version; downloaded it about a year or so ago. 7. Walking Back to Waterloo - Bee Gees 8. Gone Long Gone - Chicago 9. Cowboy - Badfinger Ken's positive reviews of their music inspired me to get several of their albums. 10. Let My Love Open the Door - Pete Townshend 11. Yellow Submarine (Mono Take 5) - The Beatles From the Revolving boot. 12. Fins - Jimmy Buffett 13. When Will You Be Mine - Average White Band 14. Every Breath You Take - The Police 15. Nights on Broadway - Bee Gees 16. A Cowboy's Work is Never Done - Sonny & Cher Interesting that two "Cowboy" titles would come up this close together. I hadn't heard this one in quite a while before the shuffle. 17. Rock and Roll Fantasy - Bad Company 18. Funky Pretty - Beach Boys From a performance at Nassau in 1974. 19. Lucky Man - Emerson, Lake & Palmer 20. Feel Like Makin' Love - Rick Braun Jazz instrumental cover of Roberta Flack's hit. 21. Now More Than Ever - Chicago 22. Cherish - David Cassidy Another guilty pleasure, but David has quite a nice voice. 23. Wonderland - The Commodores 24. Evil Ways - Santana 25. The Way I Feel - Fleetwood Mac

1. Slide - Dido A song off her first album that I forgot existed.2. Treat Me Right - Pat Benatar A fave of mine. Had to wait until her last greatest hits collection came out last year to get it on cd.3. Surrender - Trixter Cheesy metal at its best. I totally love this power ballad.4. Never Been To Spain - Three Dog Night My #1 fave song from TDN. 5. Wild Horses - Natasha Bedingfield Not a cover of the Stones song. A kind of drippy ballad from a dance-pop English songtress who I really enjoy. 6. Maybe It's You - The Carpenters Love Karen's voice on this one. 7. Clear The Area - Imogen Heap Anyone familiar with the band Frou Frou? Probably not...anyway, this lady's the lead singer. Really excellent stuff.8. Give A Little Respect - Erasure A classic.9. Different Kind of Wonderful - Fisher I totally don't know this song at all. I just listened to it for the first time tonight - so thanks Ed! Anyway, this is not an Itunes free song; I'm guessing that this is something that my friend Sarah downloaded when she was burning cds the other day. 10. Make This Go On Forever - Snow Patrol This is an Alt-Pop band from Scotland (?) that had a hit last yearish with this song called "Run" which I loved, but when I got the album, hated the rest of the tracks. So a few months ago they released their new album and on some weird whim I bought it on ITunes. It's AWESOME. There isn't a bad track on it. 11. A Song For You - The Carpenters I've already discussed on The Click how much I love this song. Considering I have 5 different versions of it on my hard drive, I'm surprised more didn't come up "randomly". 12. I Just Wanna Live - Good Charlotte I typically don't like the boy-teen "rock" emo rocks bands that are over-saturating the airwaves these days. I heard this song at a hockey game last year and immediately liked it enough that I went home to download it (after first asking the 13 year old boy sitting in front of me at the game what the name of the song was) LOL 13. The One That Got Away - Natasha Bedingfield Unlike the Wild Horses song, this is a ballad that I love. 14. One World - Todd Rundgren & Utopia 15. Fire and Ice - Pat Benatar 16. Close My Eyes Forever - Lita Ford & Ozzy Osbourne 17. In The Ghetto - Taylor Hicks I downloaded a bunch of songs from this year's American Idol competition. This is one of them. A nice version of the Elvis classic. 18. No Thang On Me - Snoop Dogg Feat. Bootsy Collins I guess this is one song I might get some flack for from Clicksters? The Snoop Dogg album that this came off of was actually pretty good - not at all "typical" rap music. This track sounds like old Curtis Mayfield. 19. Sorry - Madonna One of the hit singles off her latest album. It's good but not nearly the best track off this album.20. Peace of Me - Natasha Bedingfield 21. Life Support - The Best Of Rent (Original Broadway Cast) The song sang during the AIDS support group meeting22. Take Me Out - Franz Ferdinand A British Alt Rock band that had a big hit with this song a couple of years ago. Even if you're not familiar with the band or title I bet you've heard a piece of this song - it was everywhere.23. Open Your Eyes - Snow Patrol Another great song off their latest effort24. Someone To Watch Over Me - Katharine McPhee Another 2006 "American Idol" competition performance mp325. Out Here All Night - Damone Grrrrl Rock at its finest. These guys are like the second coming of The Runaways but much better. I originally got this particular track as a free I-tune of the week, but loved it so much that I bought the whole album.
