As music fans, we all have certain items we're looking for - books, magazines, CDs, memorabilia, etc. - of our favorite artists. I thought it would be great to have the opportunity to let others know what kinds of things we're hoping to buy, sell, or trade, and to help each other check things off our want lists.
Please feel free to post a list of the items you're looking for on this thread, and if someone is able to help, they can contact you either on this thread or through PMs. Happy trading!

Well, I guess at the moment I'm trying to find old issues of Hit Parader from the 80's. My dream is to find someone who has a box of them in their basement that they want to unload for, like, 20 bucks... I hardly think there is much demand for them now...

There are three shows I've been trying to find for ages, but unfortunately, they haven't been aired on TV in quite a while.
They are:
VH-1 Behind the Music - Chicago (I watched this, but didn't have a tape handy at the time, and I don't think they showed it again after that)
VH-1 Behind the Music - Badfinger
The Beach Boys: An American Family Miniseries
If anyone has these and would be willing to make copies for me (either VHS or DVD is fine), please let me know. I have quite a few music-related shows and movies I can offer in trade.

The Beach Boys: An American Family Miniseries Are you talking about the 2000 mini-series directed by John Stamos and aired on ABC? If so, I have it.

I've looked for it, but I don't think it's ever been commercially released to the public. I missed it when it aired, and have been curious about it. I've heard that a lot of liberties were taken with some of the characters in the second half, but the first half is supposed to be pretty well done.

I can try to dub you a copy when I have time. It's not bad, but you could tell Mike Love was behind it. He's portrayed as the "rock" that held the band together, while Brian is portrayed as a bumbling idiot! You couldn't lose any more respect for Mike Love if you tried!
Some of the former wives names have been changed, one of them Mikes! (what does THAT tell you?)
All in all, another distorted view of this band has been presented to the public..
But it does have some good qualities, and I'll try to dub it for you soon!

I have the Beach Boy miniseries also. The main thing the show did was portray Murray Wilson as the "class act" **insert sarcasm here** that he apparently was.

He seems intent on rewriting history, and unfortunately a lot of the time it seems to be at Brian's expense. Hopefully one of these days a movie with a more balanced viewpoint will be made, as they have such an interesting history.

Yes, I still have those articles I mentioned. I was hoping to come across more when I was going through the rest of the magazines, but so far that's all I've found. I can throw in a disc of Beatles rarities with them if you'd like.

Well, I'm looking for some music. Burned cd's are ok by me. I'll be more than happy to trade for anything I have (and I have a wide variety).
Here's my list (single songs unless otherwise noted):
-Don't Look Back In Anger - Oasis -How Do You Afford Your Rock 'N Roll Lifestyle? - Cake -Had A Dream (Sleeping With The Enemy) - Roger Hodgson -Wake Up The Neighborhood - Holland -Hello Stranger - Yvonne Elliman -Dreamin' - Cliff Richard -Devil Woman - Cliff Richard -We Don't Talk - Cliff Richard -Polka Dot Undies - Bowser & Blue -Exsistential Blues (uncut) - Tom T-Bone -If Not For You - Olivia Newton John -Rappers Delight (full version) - Sugar Hill Gang -Bittersweet Symphony - The Verve
I'm also looking for some non-Wings Paul McCartney hits (Play The Pipes Of Peace, My Brave Face, Press To Play, etc), and any/all Dickie Goodman songs. I also wouldn't be opposed to any Cliff Richard hits I may not know by name or have mentioned above (except for "Suddenly" - I have that one on an ONJ cd).
That's all I can think of for now, but I'm sure there's something I'm forgetting......
