I'll send them out to you later this morning. LOVED the Fairfax High disc! I'm planning to seek out more of their albums. These songs are really well done, reminiscent of some of the great pop of the '60s and '70s. Hill Street Connection is my favorite track, with great atmosphere, almost jazz in style. I also especially liked Hit the Brakes, Swim Swan Swim, Clark Co. Record Fair and Afraid to Go Home. I got the songs yesterday, just been too busy to post.. Thank you again! What did you think of the Good Humor album itself? As for other albums of theirs, none are quite as consistent and as good, to me, as Good Humor. "Foxbase Alpha" has some really good tracks, but a lot of filler as well. I'd recommend that one next. "Finnistere" is pretty good too, but it's a little harder to get into and has a lot of dance music on it (and an annoying British guy reciting lines between the songs that don't make any sense). "Tales From The Turnpike House" is decent. I didn't care much for "Sound Of Water" or "Tiger Bay", but to each his own. Pete, I'm sorry to be so late in replying to this. You are most welcome, and I'll continue to keep looking for the rest of the songs on your list (I heard part of that Joey Scarbury song on a rebroadcast of an old Casey Kasem countdown on XM recently, and it's really good!). I'm very impressed with the Good Humor CD. They kind of remind me of Swing Out Sister, whom I also really enjoy - there are some stylistic differences, but they both have a strong emphasis on pop melody and arrangement, and have that cool retro quality.

A request for Mark...does anyone have an mp3 of the song, 17 Going on Crazy by Smashed Gladys? He used to have it on a cassette years ago, and loved it, but the tape is long gone and the album is out of print I believe.

I remember Smashed Gladys. They only made one album, "Social Intercourse", sometime in the '88-'89 period. They kind of followed the Guns 'n Roses, L.A. Guns school of "Sleaze Rock", only they had a female singer. I remember this because she was a guest on The Morton Downey Jr. Show once. Let me poke around a little, I'll see if I can track it down...

Let me know and I can email it to you.

I never noticed you had a Rick Nelson record. My best friend would love that. Something I wouldn't mind picking up for her birthday or something.
I don't really have much of anything to trade record-wise. Most of my records aren't really valuable or anything.
Anything in particular you're looking for? I do get around to places that sell records, so I can look for certain things.

I'm looking for a copy of Erasure's "In My Arms" (Love to Infinity Stratomaster mix). From what I understand, this version was only available as a CD single/EP, and is no longer in print. If anyone can help me with this, that would be great. My graphic artist at work downloaded this mega Erasure collection off some pirate site, and it has tons of remixes and stuff on it. I mainly wanted it for "ABBAesque". Let me look through it on Monday, and see if this is on there.... If I can't determine it for sure, I'll just send you a copy of the CD.

ACTUALLY... something I've been getting into of late is record sleeves--mainly common ones, of the record labels...that would interest me greatly! The Ricky Nelson album is in pretty decent shape, for a Goodwill find--if you're interested! Again, I'm not looking to retiore early--I just enjoyed collecting these, and I want them to go to people who would enjoy them, as well.

Just ones with the label name on them, or a generic design? I'm sure I have some of those I could part with.

Ok: this is what I have on that CD: 1) In My Arms (Accoustic) 2) In My Arms (from the album Cowboy - no notation after the title) 3) In My Arms (White Label Promo) Unsure if any of those might be the one you're looking for.....

Thanks, Railyn - I appreciate your checking for me. I'm not sure what the White Label promo one sounds like, but the other two are different mixes than the one I'm looking for. I actually did track down an mp3 of that Love to Infinity Stratomaster mix a few months ago, but it's a needledrop from a vinyl record (I was surprised they released that on vinyl!), and unfortunately, a very scratchy one, so it has a lot of needle noise.

For some reason, they recorded a lot of different mixes of that particular song - I think there's at least eight or ten of them altogether. I haven't heard them all, but of the four or five I know, some of them are more in a ballad style, and others are more dance/techno, like the Stratomaster mix.
