Pat Metheny is a provost lecturer/instructor at the University of Miami School of Music. Bruce Hornsby is a native of Virginia, as is Juice Newton. One of Juice Newton's big hits was Queen of Hearts which was also covered by Dave Edmunds.

One of Juice Newton's big hits was Queen of Hearts which was also covered by Dave Edmunds. Early in his career, Dave covered I Hear You Knockin', originally done by Smiley Lewis. ;D

A completely different Blue Monday was recorded by New Order. When New Order made their way to the U.S. they signed with the Qwest label, owned by Quincy Jones.

The Turtles covered McGuire's song "Eve of Destruction". Turtles member Jim Pons was a member of the 60's garage band the Leaves who originally sang Hey Joe - later covered by Jimi Hendrix.
