George Strait shares a May 18 birthday with me! Someone else who celebrates a birthday on May 18 is MARTIKA. MARTIKA covered "I Feel the Earth Move", a hit for CAROLE KING. Carole King was the inspiration behind the 1959 hit "Oh Carol" by NEIL SEDAKA.

Neil Sedaka recorded "It Hurts to Be in Love" but not at RCA's studios. As a result it was rejected, and the song's producers removed Neil's voice and added GENE PITNEY's voice, and it became his biggest hit.
