Yesterday, I was mulling over some ideas for games here on the Click, and came up with this one.
The object of the game is to create a long chain of artists based on something that the artists have in common. For instance, we would begin with the Beatles, and then someone would make a post listing an artist and what they have in common with the Beatles, for example America, because they were both produced by George Martin. Then, someone else would make another post with an artist and what they had in common with America, and so on. Let's see how many different artists we can link in the chain, although it's okay to repeat artists as well.
Let's start off with the Fab Four! Have fun!

Since you told me about the game first, I'll go next!
Instead of America, I'll say Little River Band, who George Martin also produced! (Hopefully LRB will provide a bit of a challenge!)

The LRB had a top-ten hit called "Lady" --- and so did ---Styx. (Good game, Dawn. They had something like this over at ML that lasted for months.)

Alice Cooper appeared in a scary movie called Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band with the Bee Gees. (And also called Saturday Night Fever one of the best albums ever!) Looks like the only participants of this game are on right now!

Neil Diamond's Kentucky Woman was covered by Deep Purple. And Deep Purple when they first formed were known as Roundabout which was a very popular tune by Yes.
