Another Beatles White Album cut, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, featured Eric Clapton on guitar. ..and that was something I didn't know until years later, when I dumbly said "Man, I knew that George Harrison was a very good guitarist, but I didn't know he was THAT good!" Eric had a big hit with "Lay Down Sally" - but "Who's In the Strawberry Patch With Sally" was a hit for Tony Orlando and Dawn. (Looks like Sally gets around! )

Peter, Paul, and Mary had a HUGE hit with "Leavin' On A Jet Plane", which was written by John Denver. JOHN DENVER had a fictional fling with SHELLY FABARES's then-groupie character on the TV show "Coach".
