Though I'd kickstart this thread again...
GIMME FIVE...tribute songs to other singers (so "Abraham, Martin and John" wouldn't count) AND you are limited to one tribute song to Elvis, Buddy Holly and John Lennon apiece!
"Nightshift"--Commodores (Jackie Wilson, Marvin Gaye) "Shine On You Crazy Diamond"--Pink Floyd (Syd Barrett, their vocalist/guitarist who went insane due to drug use) "When Smokey Sings"--ABC (Smokey Robinson) "The Late Great Johnny Ace"--Paul Simon (Django Reinhardt-I mean, Johnny Ace) "Sweet Soul Music"--Arthur Conley (James Brown, Otis Redding, Lou Rawls, Wilson Pickett)
HA! Did it with NO Lennon/Presley/Holly tributes!
Now...
Gimme Five "studio group" songs with RON DANTE as lead vocalist!

I misread the question at first and thought you were looking for five GROUPS that he was lead vocalist for. This makes it easier: Leader of the Laundromat - The Detergents Sugar Sugar - The Archies Jingle Jangle - The Archies Tracy - The Cuff Links When Julie Comes Around - The Cuff Links Gimme five acts that were spawned, in one way or another, from The Yardbirds (you can include second generation spawnings).

Y'know, Grem. I had no idea what you were talking about until I googled it. I was incredibly shocked to learn that not only did it refer to a show featuring a cornucopia of superstars, but it also dates back to my era - 1964. I cannot imagine why I never heard of it until now, and also am surprised that it doesn't have the aura that a some what similar event - Woodstock - did five years later. I think part of the problem was it's name. The T. A. stands for Teen Age. It wasn't until maybe the early '70s that rock music stopped being considered teenage music. Anyway, although lists of who the performers were abound on the internet, I had to search long and hard to come up with what songs they performed. Here are five: Beach Boys - I Get Around Rolling Stones - Time Is On My Side Marvin Gaye - Can I get a Witness Lesley Gore - It's My Party Jan and Dean - Here They Come (From All Over the World) OK. Gimme Five songs from '70s one-hit wonders (I'll define one-hit wonder as someone who has one top ten-hit, and nothing else in the top 100.)

Gimme Five songs from '70s one-hit wonders (I'll define one-hit wonder as someone who has one top ten-hit, and nothing else in the top 100.) First--the answer... TIGHTER AND TIGHTER--Alive and Kicking MONTEGO BAY--Bobby Bloom CONVENTION '72--Delegates IN THE SUMMERTIME--Mungo Jerry TUBULAR BELLS--Mike Oldfield (and another one, that didn't make top ten but my all time favorite 70's one-hit wonder...) SHAVING CREAM-Benny Bell (a hit thirty years after its first release) Regarding the TAMI Show--I have a video that combines portions of TAMI with the BIG TNT SHOW, a similar movie made after TAMI's success. The comparison to WOODSTOCK is valid, as both movies preserve live performances of a wide variety of acts (I especially LOVE Bo Diddley and Ike and Tina Turner from TNT)...however, a huge error was that neither movie was in color, nor really marketed or publicized well. Another huge error was the lack of a soundtrack album--the only one that I know of was Jan and Dean's Liberty release of their set from the movie. Still, a significant music moment frozen in video amber. NOW... GIMME FIVE hit records from Lieber and Stoller's RED BIRD record label...

Cab Calloway Lena Horne R.E.M. Stevie Wonder Johnny Cash GIMME 5...hits of the 1960's that no oldies station will touch today (we'll call this the "Winchester Cathedral" award!) LOL - I remember hearing Winchester Cathedral fairly often years ago on oldies stations, around 1990-92 - but probably not since. And to think that song beat out Good Vibrations and Eleanor Rigby for a Grammy Award! Here are five others I haven't heard on those stations in ages: Exodus - Ferrante & Teicher I'm Telling You Now - Freddie & the Dreamers Eve of Destruction - Barry McGuire Hooray for Hazel - Tommy Roe Honey - Bobby Goldsboro (I actually did hear this on a classic country station just a few weeks ago, but it's been years since I've heard it on a pop/oldies one.) Gimme five artists whose debut single charted in 1983.

1. Michael Sembello (Maniac) 2. Naked Eyes (Always Something There To Remind Me) 3. Howard Jones (New Song) 4. Shannon (Let The Music Play) 5. Kajagoogoo (Too Shy)
Yes, I know most of them are one hit wonders, but that was a toughie.
Now, let's do this one...
List five songs by American artists that charted higher in the UK than the US.
