The Bangles' first chart hit, Manic Monday, was written by Prince. Prince, for part of his career used a symbol instead of his name. Another artist who used a symbol instead of a name was ? (Question Mark) whose real name may or may not have been Rudy Martinez - he had it legally changed to "?" of ? and the Mysterians
